Test post

So, we shall see if this works or not. Hopefully it will not be banned, and will post just fine, and thus be my access, at least one way access, to the internet. Yay! If it doesn’t work, or is ugly, well, I just wont post anymore. So… here goes..

update time!

Wow, I cant believe it has been nearly a full month since I have written something on the ole blog. I guess I was just so tired and relieved and all of those other euphemisims for being a lazy bastard after Egpyt, that I just never got around to it.

So, here is the 5 second update of my life in June, done in bullet point form for simplicity.

  • came back from egypt, slept for 3 days i think... I dont remember these days so well
  • sat around on my butt for a while, celebrating the fact that I wasnt scheduled full time for duck tours any more (while being a bit upset, as I wouldnt be getting the full time paycheck anymore either..)
  • went to a couple of parties, drank a lot of beer
  • bought a bicycle, which I am now thouroughly addicted to
  • started my co-op job with Cetrulo and Capone LLP
  • worked

There. That is June in a nutshell. It wasnt very exciting.

I could have sworn that at one point I posted my entire journal from egypt onto the blog, but for some reason, it isnt here. I wonder if the blogging site couldnt handle it. For those who are curious, it worked out to 16,757 words exactly (minus whatever the headers were, so more like 16,700). If for some reason you have any desire to read days that I left out, let me know, and I'll either post them, or email them, or what not.

Now for July. July has been short, we aren't even a full week into it, but a lot has happened.

I have been working at C&C for a while now, and just so you know, I have no internet. I barely have email (which could grant me slight access, but we will see...), and its a lonnnnng day over there when you dont have something to distract you.

On the note of email giving me slight access, I think I can post to the blog via email (which is sweet), but I'm going to have to try it out once or twice, and see if I bring up any red flags in the company and get fired (which would be awesome if I did, simply for blogging a little while I should be doing billable work).

And, lightning fast transition...

For those of you who don't know, Cetrulo and Capone is a law firm which specializes in Toxic Tort Litigation on the Defense side. Thats right folks, I work for a firm which defends the corporations who are being sued by grandparents everywhere for giving them lung cancers of various sorts thanks to asbestos poisioning.

Its not actually like that though --- see, if you think back to one of the things that was talked about a lot during the last election cycle was tort reform. What I am doing, is just fighting the fight that the pols all talked about, but are unwilling to do.

That, and I'm just a lowly file clerk, and have little bearing whatsoever on the well being of the company, so long as I dutifully carry out my goal of putting little pieces of paper into manila folders, and then into larger, redwell folders.

It's a job they could do with an old computer program, much less a highly trained political science student, but hey, for 13 bucks an hour, I would probably get coffee for somebody, so long as I could get the internet at my work station.... oh, wait...

damnit.

well, if the next post has an ending that states something about privilaged and confidential, just ignore it until i can delete that part, it just means it was sent to the blog site through my work email.
